This week has been insanely eventful. For starters, as you all know, I moved to New York City. It was definitely one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done, but also one of the most exciting! While saying goodbye to my family at the airport, my mom captured this beautiful shot of me, my sister, and my brother in an emotional embrace. We were posing for a picture together when my sister just wrapped her arms around me, and my brother followed. This is one of my favorite pictures of us, ever. I love them dearly, and miss them every minute.
On my first day in the city, I took a ferry ride to Brooklyn to visit Ikea. My room came with a bed, but nothing else. I ended up purchasing a dresser (2 drawers), nightstand, and a comfy chair. My room is now almost complete, and I am definitely in love with it. More on my room decorating experience later.
For the other days of this week I did a lot of venturing and walking around the city. I walked more than rode the subway because I wanted to be above ground, there is just SO much to look at! Every way you turn is another spectacular view. I love this place.
Lastly, I did sit down and have some relaxation time with a good magazine and some Oreos. Yum!
