I know it has been insanely long since I have updated, but the last few months have been very challenging, both professionally and personally, and my blog just fell far behind. I hope to get back on track — But I’ll be honest, since I graduate in 4 months (FOUR MONTHS!) my updates could still be few.
I’ve got his dreadful thing they call “Thesis” that I have to complete. I have a love/hate relationship with my thesis. Some days I am so excited about my topic, and other days I want to scratch it all and start all over. I think I am still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I am even writing a thesis, and that I am almost finished with my master’s degree. This last year and a half has flown by in the blink of an eye — and I’m honestly having a hard time grasping that.
But I’ve decided to not let myself fear the next step, but be insanely excited about it. In 4 months time, I will be able to literally go anywhere I want. I could apply for jobs in NYC, California, Florida, London, Paris…. the possibilities are endless. And that is EXCITING.
So for now, I will leave you with this excellent quote from Mark Twain:
‘Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do, so throw off the bowlines, sail away from safe harbor, catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover.’ – Mark Twain
Next time, on Sooner and the City… I will finally write about my summer in LONDON. Get ready for a long long post.
